Payroll Administrator – Part Time

Waitakere College is a successful, dynamic school in the heart of West Auckland. We are seeking an individual to fulfil the role of Payroll Administrator and fit in with our busy administration team.   This role includes managing payroll for approximately 180 staff members some with varying work patterns. 

In the successful applicant we are looking for:

  • Previous payroll experience essential with knowledge of Novopay preferred.
  • An eye for detail and a proven work ethic. 
  • Great English communication skills, initiative, and the ability to multi-task, problem solve, and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of Excel essential and ideally Google Docs and Kamar.

The successful applicant must agree to a police check as required by the Ministry of Education.   

This role is currently Monday – Friday 9am – 2pm (20 hours per week) term time only, with extra hours worked during school holidays as required, to meet deadlines.  We envisage a period of training with our current Payroll Administrator before she leaves us on 18 December.

Learning Support Coordinator – Permanent Full Time Start 2020

Waitakere College is looking for an enthusiastic educator to take on the Learning Support Coordinator role. This is an exciting new role that has been created to manage support for students' learning needs.

The successful applicant will be working with students, teachers, whānau and agencies to support the learning of our students and will work as part of a LSC team across the cluster.

Applicants will:

  • Have demonstrated successful experience in working with and including children and young people with learning support needs in the classroom
  • Be responsible for data collection and ongoing monitoring of students on the learning support register
  • Work with other LSCs across the Kāhui Ako and connect with the learning support facilitator and wider agencies
  • Build relationships and work collaboratively with staff, parents and whānau.
  • Assist with the development and delivery of our learning support programmes to enable students to fully participate in the classroom.
