Students Selected For Flash Fiction Mentoring

Four students from Waitākere College have been selected for a flash fiction coaching programme.

Congratulations to our four students from Waitākere College who have been selected for a flash fiction coaching programme. Ava Porter, Jaedyne Mayion, Angelica Sabili, and Delta Johns will each be matched with a mentor to help them develop a piece of writing.

These students all attended a workshop at school earlier in the year, funded by the Mātātuhi Foundation, to teach students about flash fiction (very short stories). They entered the school's writing competition afterward and Ava, Jaedyne, and Angelica won the top three spots.
These students, along with Delta, will now receive two hours of mentoring to help them with their writing. If successful, their work could be published in the online journal fingers comma toes towards the end of the year.
