10HMT Hydraulics

During these last two terms, my 10HMT class was required to design, prototype, and create a hydraulic arm out of wood, metal, plastic tubing, and syringes. Using pictures and how-to-make-hydraulic-arm tutorials, as well as our own original ideas, we began by sketching our ideas on paper. Next, we created a prototype of our machine out of cardboard and masking tape. Then we set about crafting our hydraulic arm. While some of us used metal to structure our machine, others used wood. Some of us lathed screws with our phenomenal lathing skills, while others welded metal together with fire!
