Marching out in Waitākere style


The Regional Services Academy Graduation Ceremony was held on Saturday 28th November at Kelston Boys High School.
Waitākere College Year 12 Services Academy was on parade with 15 other Academies in front of a crowd of hundreds. Graduation marks the completion of the Year 12 Services Academy programme. 

The Most Improved Student Award for Waitākere College was presented to Tualima Tauti. This award acknowledges the constant improvement of a single student throughout the year. Tualima has been a constant positive force within the Academy. 

The Top Student Award for Waitākere College was presented to Senio Afamasaga. This award acknowledges the best overall student in all aspects of Academy life including academic results. Senio attended the Services Induction Course, he was selected to attend the Basic Leaders Course. The New Zealand Defence Force Youth Development Unit selected Senio to attend the Advanced Leadership Course. Senio went on the complete the Bushcraft Course and Academy Adventure Challenge.  

Throughout the year both of these students have shown the ‘Waitākere way’ and have lived the Academy values of Courage, Commitment, Comradeship and Integrity.
