The 50th New Zealand Secondary School Track, Field and 47th Road Race Championships for 2023 was held in Christchurch over the holidays.

The competition was tough, but Maia produced fantastic results! She worked hard through the heats, quarters, and semis to make it to the finals. Then, in some really close races, she won two medals: a silver in the 100m and a bronze in the 200m. Maia also came in at 5th place in the Long Jump.

This might have been the most challenging competition Maia has encountered, considering the presence of top athletes from both clubs and schools. Congratulations Maia!
