Students Step Up to Assist a Stranger in Need

A little kindness goes a long way

Luana, the Trades West Campus Manager, reached out with a heartwarming story to share about the commendable actions of students Jamie McEvoy, Owen Pitout, and Ojan Sa’u this week.

A lady whose car had broken down outside the campus sought help to move her vehicle off the road. Before she could finish her request, James, Owen, and Ojan promptly rose from their seats to lend a hand.

These three students are enrolled in the school's Vocational Pathways Program and were attending a course at the NZMA Trades West Campus. Their swift response and willingness to assist demonstrate the Waitākere way with our values of learning, caring and respect that we strive to instil in all our students. Let's take a moment to recognise and appreciate their selfless act.
