The long-awaited battle for the Rathgar Shield between the Waitākere College Premier 1 and St Dominic's College Premier 1 Netball teams was finally able to go ahead. It was a close-fought match, played in good spirits with both teams playing with passion and pride for their schools.
Waitākere managed to pull away in the last quarter winning the game 42-33.
It was a great atmosphere with a big crowd and positive support for both teams. Well done to all involved. We look forward to next season's rematch.
