Waitākere College has international students arriving from all over the world. The students need a caring home life during their stay in order for them to enjoy their studies in New Zealand and make the most out of this amazing opportunity.

International students come for different lengths of time. Some may come for a few weeks, or a few months (school terms) and some intend to stay for a few years.

We are seeking applications from families living in West Auckland who are interested in hosting overseas students in terms 1 and 2 next year. Hosting an international student can be a very rewarding experience and is a great opportunity to meet new people and learn about other cultures. Homestay families are to provide accommodation and meals for their international students during their enrolment.

Many homestay families enjoy helping their student to have memorable New Zealand experiences and find that these shared experiences have benefits for their own families and form long-lasting relationships. Families do not need to have children attending Waitākere College in order to apply.

You will receive fortnightly reimbursement as well as ongoing support and training regarding compliance with the National Code of Practice for the Pastoral Care of International Students.
