Mr Shanahan’s CLASSES Of The Week 27th Feb - 3rd March

3 Classes have won this week! Art 101, DRA 301 and 9 Muriwai English

Art 101 (Pictured Above)
Nominated By Miss Craig

ART 101 has been completing timed observational drawings this week of still life objects found at Te Henga. In every lesson the class have focussed and given the quick nature of the task their full attention capturing the details of the objects. I am really impressed with the way the class has started the year. They are taking the class seriously they have started the course beautifully drawing many pages of evidence to be assessed in the first internal assessment. I'm loving this class and really look forward to how they are going to progress through the course.

DRA 301
Nominated by Ms Foulds
Dra301DRA301 are currently working with an outside tutor from the physical theatre company Red Leap as part of a Creative in Schools project. They are being pushed to their limits physically and creatively. They are being held to the very high standards of a professional theatre company and they are doing a great job at adapting and meeting these. As their teacher, it has been a delight to see them challenged while having fun and developing their skills. I can't wait to see what else they get up to with Katrina from Red Leap, and the awesome mahi that will come out as an end product. You're awesome, DRA301!

9 Muriwai English
Nominated by Mrs Baker

9 Muriwai have proven they are ready for high school! They follow instructions clearly, get onto the do now without me pushing them, and they have consistently worked hard. I am already proud of the way they are displaying the Waitakere Way in the classroom.
