Our two DRA101 classes are currently collaborating together to perform a collection of scenes from a variety of Aotearoa's most loved plays. This is a 5 credit assessment which requires students to rehearse and perform to an audience of their friends and whānau. Working with both classes has been so much fun and we are so impressed at the effort everyone is putting into this group project. Some scenes are even being directed by students, who are working towards gaining some Level 2 credits for their directing skills. Having a total of 47 students working with two kaiako across three learning spaces was a little bit daunting - but the Year 11s have risen to the challenge and been awesomely respectful, hardworking and positive.
