The three Year 11 Art classes spent most of term 2 working on Significant artworks in either Sculpture or Painting. The internal assessment was worth 5 credits and came together as an exhibition last Thursday night, where whānau came and enjoyed the work in the staff room. 

Each student titled, priced and wrote an artist statement about their piece, which was either a large scale painting on Canvas or a sculptural diorama. The artworks explored the theme of Kou Wai Au (Who am I) and were all completely unique, depicting significant places, whānau, and taonga of each student. There has been really amazing feedback on the work from those who have viewed it, and lots of credits earned.
