A massive shout-out to the incredible group of students who stepped up to represent Waitakere College at our recent Open Evening!

Taking on the role of campus tour guides, these students welcomed prospective families with warmth, confidence, and true Waitakere spirit. They led parents and future students through our grounds, answering questions with enthusiasm and sharing what makes our school community so special.

Beyond guiding tours, many of our ambassadors rolled up their sleeves in subject departments—assisting teachers with interactive demonstrations, setting up impressive displays of student work, and giving visitors a real taste of learning in action.

Stepping into a leadership role in front of a busy crowd takes real courage and pride. Parents were continually singing your praises throughout the night, noting how polite, knowledgeable, and helpful our guides were.

You represented our school values brilliantly and made the evening a resounding success. Thank you for being such fantastic role models and showing everyone what it truly means to be a part of Waitakere College! Ka rawe!
