Tutor/Teacher Mechanical Engineering Academy

Are you interested in using your experience in your trade to develop the next generation of young engineers?
Then we are keen to talk to you about how you can pass on your skills to start young people on the pathway to futures in the engineering field.
We are seeking a full-time tutor for our Engineering Academy. This academy is a hands-on programme specializing in practical workshop trade training for senior school students and works in collaboration with trade training organizations, tertiary and industry.

Key responsibilities include facilitating teaching, learning and assessment for Mechanical Engineering Trades students at level 2, pre-trade or apprentice level, with courses including a strong hands-on practical learning component.
We are looking for a person who is trade qualified and experienced in the Mechanical Engineering field, preferably having completed an apprenticeship in Fitting and Turning. This person may or may not have previous teaching experience but will have the desire to work with young people to support them into apprenticeships in engineering. 

Ideally, the position starts in late 2023 depending on the successful applicant’s availability.
The successful applicant will be joining a well-established leading engineering academy, one of our four trades academies.
