At the end of Term one, the  Waitākere College Services Academies commemorated ANZAC Day. This year, ANZAC Day fell during the school holidays. It was a time to remember our original ANZACs who landed on the beach at Gallipoli in 1915. Our school community also acknowledges the service of our parents, caregivers and family members who currently serve in the Defence Force.    

The parade was led by Year 13 Services student Gavin Boyle, the Year 10 Service Academy was led by Year 12 Services student Marley Diener, the flag orderly was Year 13 Services student and Prefect Ryan Anderson.  The ANZAC ode was recited by Zara Fox and Joey Mesui.
