Pink Shirt Day is an important event in Aotearoa dedicated to standing up against bullying. Since 2012, the Mental Health Foundation of New Zealand (MHFNZ) has encouraged everyone to speak out and work together to stop bullying.
This year, our PSSP group organised fun activities to promote kindness and inclusivity. Students love the opportunity to break free from their uniform and dress head to toe in pink!
Students enjoyed activities such as compliment cards, where they shared positive notes to uplift each other, the positivity wall and especially the pink-themed photo frame. The PSSP students also came to the staff briefing to be official judges for the staff dress up - A tie was declared between the PE and languages departments for best dressed!
Pink Shirt Day was a wonderful opportunity for everyone to come together and celebrate kindness. Let’s keep supporting each other throughout the year!
