The next planned rail closure will be over the extended King’s Birthday weekend – Friday 30th May – Monday 2nd June 2025.

This closure includes a standard weekday – Friday 30th May. Buses will replace trains across the whole network during King’s Birthday weekend.

Following extended King’s Birthday closure, there will also be planned closures on:

• Extended Matariki weekend – no trains running from Friday 20th – Monday 23rd June.
• Winter school holidays – no Southern Line trains running between Puhinui and Pukekohe, reduced frequency on all other lines from Saturday 28th June – Sunday 13th July.
