As part of the Waitākere College Level 3 Sport course, students are required to run an event as one of their assessments. This year, they have decided to hold a School Fun Run/walk Colour Day and your child has been invited to participate. This will take place on Tuesday 24th June. The students have decided to add a fundraiser component to their event to upgrade our weights room, which gets heavily used by all PE classes, academies, sports teams, and any student who applies for a gym membership for Lunchtime use.  

Our School Fun Run is a sponsorship-based fundraiser where all Year 9 and 10 students, along with several senior PE/Health classes, are invited to participate. The event will take place on our fields during school hours. Leading up to the Fun Run, our students will ask people in the community for support by sponsoring them to participate. 

Our goal for the fun run is to raise $40,000 to go towards the overall weights room upgrade. This amount will make a massive difference and help to create an amazing new space for our students to help them reach their fitness goals.
