This term, five Service Academy students were selected to attend the Service Academy Basic Leaders Course held at Whenuapai Airforce Base.  The Course is for Services Academy students who show leadership potential within their individual Academies from throughout the North Island.

This year, Waitākere College Services Academy sent Shayla Pa’u Roberts, Erica Paltridge, Marley Diener, Joey Mesui and Max Siaki-Henry.

It was a long week of physical training, classroom work and leadership assessments run by New Zealand Defence Force staff.  As always there was a special mention for the early hours and late nights spent working on their individual assessments.
