As this term comes to a close, we bid farewell to a cherished member of our school community, Mrs Sue Borich, and warmly welcome her successor, Mrs Leandrie (Lea) Thompson.
After 38 years of dedicated service across five different schools in Auckland, Sue is retiring, and her departure marks the end of an era for us all. Known for her warm smile and kindness, Sue has been the welcoming face at our school every morning. Her genuine dedication to helping students and staff alike has made her a special part of our community. Sue's commitment extends far beyond her role as an accounts administrator; she knows everyone's name and goes above and beyond to assist students and staff, whether they need a timetable, an answer to a question, or simply someone to chat with about rugby or cricket. Her welcoming smile every morning is a source of comfort for students, and she has been an active member of the PSSP group and is always ready to help with activities. Mrs Borich embodies the spirit of a school mother, grandmother, counsellor and friend to many staff and students. Her compassion and understanding have made a lasting impact on all of us, and she will be greatly missed by everyone.
As she embarks on her retirement journey with her husband, we look forward to hearing about her adventures and the memories she will create in this new phase of her life.
While we say goodbye to Sue, we are equally excited to welcome Mrs Leandrie Thompson to our team. We have already seen that Lea will quickly become a beloved member of our school family, following in Sue’s remarkable footsteps. As we transition, we celebrate Sue’s remarkable career and the lasting impact she has had on our school community.
Here’s to new beginnings and heartfelt farewells!
