Bringing the Building Academies Fale Project to Life

This year, our Year 13 Building Academy students have been engaged in a couple of significant projects as part of their learning experience.

These students attend Unitec in Mt Albert one day a week, and one of their major projects has involved constructing a medium-sized Sāmoan Fale. In collaboration with Unitec, our students have been hands-on, developing their trade skills and putting in the effort to make this project a reality.

Thanks to the wonderful support of our Principal and Whaea Pearl, the Board of Trustees has approved the purchase of the Fale and its relocation to the College.
We expect the Fale to arrive towards the end of the year. This will be our first Pacific cultural building, featuring an open-style design, and it will serve as a valuable learning resource for everyone to use.
