Congratulations to Jenna Ali, Parker Hayes, Faith Skeen, Logan Hurricks, and Aaryan Bhonsole for completing over half of their Writer's Toolbox Learning Journey!  They were each rewarded with $40 Warehouse Stationery vouchers at the Year 9 Assembly on Monday.  

All Year 9 and 10 Waitākere College students have access to Writer's Toolbox, which is an online writing improvement platform.  There are 50 modules in the individualised Learning Journey for junior students to be working away at for homework and in some class sessions. Each module focuses on an aspect of writing like how to structure a sentence in different ways, how to use language features, how to add more detail to writing, and much more.  Each module takes approximately 30-45 minutes to complete.  

We are very proud of the fantastic progress Jenna, Parker, Faith, Logan and Aaryan have made so far.  We encourage all Year 9 and 10 students to keep chipping away at their Learning Journey in homework time; just 10 minutes a day would ensure one module is completed each week.  This is excellent preparation for NCEA written assessments.
