Our Year 10 Rūmaki ākonga recently showcased their manaakitanga memorably by hosting a dinner as part of their manaakitanga assessment. This kaupapa allowed our ākonga to demonstrate hospitality, care, and respect, not only through words, but through action.

From planning the menu, preparing ingredients, cooking delicious kai, setting the tables, and serving with a smile, every step reflected the values of manaakitanga. The evening was made extra special with our ākonga warmly hosting their chosen kaiako as honoured guests.

A huge mihi to Mr Russell, Mrs Monk, Ms Henry, Ms Garner, and Mrs Srhoj for joining the occasion and allowing our students the opportunity to express their gratitude and aroha through this shared meal.
