Last Thursday, students took on the teachers in the fifth challenge of the Students vs Teachers Sport Competition, this time competing in table tennis.  

The teachers have been unstoppable this year, already securing victories in netball, volleyball, badminton, and basketball. The students arrived fired up, some even bringing their own bats, ready to finally break the teachers’ winning streak.

However, the experience and composure of the staff shone through once again, with the teachers claiming a 17–9 overall victory. Students struggled to counter Ms Itamua’s deadly spin serve and Mr Jehad Yunis’s ferocious smashes, which proved decisive in many games.

This win puts the teachers 5–0 up in the series. Despite the competitive edge, it was fantastic to see such a diverse group of students and teachers coming together for an exciting and memorable lunchtime event.
