“Mā mua ka kite a muri, mā muri ka ora a mua -  those who lead give sight to those who follow and those who follow give life to those who lead”.  These were some of the closing words from the Services Academy Advanced Leaders Course for 2025. This is a National Course held for all 19 Services Academies from around New Zealand.  Each School sent 2 students. This year, the course was held at RNZAF Base Whenuapai. 

Erica Paltridge and Shayla Roberts Pa’u represented Waitākere College Services Academy.  This year, both students have excelled and were selected by the New Zealand Defence Force Staff to continue their leadership journeys after successfully completing the Basic Leaders Course. A former Services Academy member and Advanced Leader, Jaedyne Pearl Mayion, also attended the march out parade at Whenuapai.
