Tū kōtahi, kōkiri tahi! - Stand in unity, move as one

What a powerful campaign we’ve had for Te Ahurea Tino Rangatiratanga 2025! Our rōpū performed at Te Kura Kaupapa Māori o Ngā Tapuwae last Saturday. With just a short four-week preparation, they delivered a memorable performance that may well be our best yet for this competition.

Te mana, te ihi, te wehi - the strength, the thrill, and the excitement carried our rōpū throughout. Our tuakana were exceptional leaders for this performance. As Year 13 students, this was their final performance with our rōpū, and though emotions ran high, the wairua pai guided us to the end. Massive mihi to Taipua Kipa, our kaitātaki tāne (male leader), and Teia Kahukura Peihopa-Watson, our kaitātaki wahine (female leader), for their leadership, guidance, and aroha.

A special mihi to the whānau, kaitautoko, kaimahi, and pouako who came along to support throughout the campaign – it truly takes a village to achieve a kaupapa like this! Our biggest mihi goes to Matua Robin Snowden, Whaea Sam La Hood, Matua Tumanawa Tawhai, and Taitea Snowden for leading and tutoring our taiohi in this space - mei kore ake koutou!

Polyfest 2026 - we go again, haramai tētahi āhua!
