With summer coming, it's really important we all know how to have fun and stay safe at the beach this summer. Our West Coast beaches are beautiful, but dangerous if you don't know how to stay safe.
A big thank you to senior students and surf lifeguards Charlotte Harvey, Madi White and Caitlyn King, who gave up their time over several lunchtimes to teach us the basics of beach safety.
We learned about different types of waves, tides, rips and how to spot them and what to do if you get caught in one. It was really interesting and super helpful.
