Kaipara College welcomes our DP, Jane Coup, as their new Principal

Jane Coup, our Deputy Principal and now the new Principal of Kaipara College, was welcomed onto the Kaipara College campus with an outstanding pōwhiri.

Several of our teaching staff and school leaders, along with student leaders from our Kapa Haka group and Prefects, were led by our Kaumātua, Warahi Paki. Together, they joined Jane and her whānau as part of the Kaipara College pōwhiri to welcome their new Tumuaki (Principal).

The Kaipara College Kapa Haka group and staff greeted Jane and presented her with a korowai, symbolically embracing her into their College community.

Jane brings with her a kete of 14 years of teaching and leadership experience at Waitākere College. This wealth of experience will not only strengthen Kaipara College and its community but also contribute to her continued growth as an educational leader.

We will miss Jane’s leadership as Deputy Principal here at Waitākere College, but we wish her every success in her new role as Principal of Kaipara College.
