This week, almost 100 PE and Sport students attended Action Matakana as part of their assessments. The trip focused on exploring risk management in the outdoors and applying personal and social responsibility. Students completed a muddy confidence course twice (day one and day three), aiming to improve their time through teamwork. On day two, they took part in activities including rifle shooting, archery, axe throwing, and low ropes.
All students showed excellent kotahitanga (teamwork) and manaakitanga (care) within their groups. It was great to see everyone giving things a go; even the kaiako got involved, tackling the confidence course and challenging teams to beat their times.
