Free Auckland Library Cards for All Students!

We have some exciting news for our college community! Did you know that every student is eligible for a free membership to the Auckland Council Libraries?

While our own college library is a fantastic hub for study, joining the wider Auckland Council network opens the door to 55+ additional branches and a massive digital universe that students can access from home or on their mobile devices.

Why Join?

A library card is more than just a ticket to borrow books; it is a powerful tool for academic success and weekend entertainment. Membership includes:

  • Massive Digital Collection: Instant access to thousands of eBooks, eAudiobooks, and digital magazines through apps like Libby and BorrowBox.
  • Streaming Services: Free access to Beamafilm and Kanopy for high-quality movies and documentaries.
  • Study & Research Tools: Free use of premium databases like Gale Interactive and Britannica, plus 16,000+ expert-led courses on LinkedIn Learning to build new skills in coding, design, or business.
  • No Overdue Fines: Auckland Council Libraries are fine-free, meaning students can enjoy reading without the stress of late fees.
  • Free Wi-Fi & Tech: Access to high-speed Wi-Fi, computers, and creative "Makerspaces" featuring 3D printers and robotics at select branches.

How to Sign Up

  1. Collect a Form: Stop by the school library during break or lunch to pick up an Auckland Council Library application form.
  2. Fill & Sign: Complete the short form and ensure a parent or guardian signs it.
  3. Return to Us: Once the signed form is back with our college librarians, we will handle the rest! We’ll arrange for the card to be issued and delivered directly to your child at school.

It’s that easy! Help your child gain a competitive edge in their studies and a world of entertainment at their fingertips—all for free.
