Our junior rock band, BlackPearl, recently took the stage at the regional heats of Smokefree Rockquest, delivering a solid performance that showcased their distinctive Paramore-inspired sound. With Nicole Maney on vocals, Damien Allen on Bass, Reece Boucher on drums, and Ryan Scott's driving guitar, the band received positive feedback from both the audience and the judges.

Performing original music in front of a live crowd is no easy task, and BlackPearl represented our school with passion. Opportunities like Rockquest allow our young musicians to develop their performance skills, collaborate creatively, and gain valuable experience within New Zealand’s vibrant music scene.
