What a weekend for our First XV! The team secured a hard-fought, thrilling 17-12 victory over Onehunga High School in a match that kept spectators on the edge of their seats. It was a brilliant display of teamwork, grit, and resilience.

The celebrations didn’t stop at the scoreboard, either. Following the match, co-captain Dahil Ese was officially awarded his 20-game badge! Reaching this milestone is no small feat in the gruelling world of First XV rugby, but what makes Dale’s achievement even more impressive is his incredible versatility. After spending the last few years grinding it out in the forwards, Dale successfully transitioned into the backs this season—a rare and challenging switch that showcases his superb athleticism and rugby IQ.

As a co-captain, Dale leads by example. Over his 20 appearances, he has cemented himself as a core pillar of the squad, setting a phenomenal standard with his work ethic, resilience, and positive attitude. Earning this badge symbolises hours of sacrifice, gruelling practices, and an immense commitment to the jersey.
