The Waitākere College rugby community is celebrating a milestone this week as utility back player Alpha Oneata was officially awarded his First XV cap.

Earning a First XV cap is no small feat - it represents immense dedication, resilience, and a gruelling 15 games playing at the highest level of school rugby. For Alpha, it is a well-deserved recognition of his hard work, grit on the field, and commitment to the jersey.

The presentation was a proud moment for the entire Waitākere family. Alpha celebrated the achievement alongside his biggest supporters, captured in a wonderful photo with his proud family, who have cheered him on every step of the way.
He was also joined by co-captains, Dahil Ese and Emmanuelalex Apelu. The bond between these players highlights the strong leadership and brotherhood driving the First XV squad forward this season.
