Waitākere College proudly celebrated the 128th Philippine Independence Day with a special flag-raising ceremony at 7:00 a.m., featuring a prayer, the Philippine National Anthem, and the Pledge of Allegiance. We were delighted by the number of students and staff who joined us, showing their support and embracing our Filipino community with genuine aroha.

Following the celebrations, we gathered after school for a shared lunch, bringing together our Filipino community in a spirit of unity and fellowship. The occasion provided an opportunity to share stories, create lasting memories, celebrate our culture, and strengthen the bonds that connect us as a community. We are grateful to everyone who helped make this year's celebration meaningful and memorable.
