The Next Evolution in Pitching and Soft Skill Development

Written by Jonah Clark, Year 13

The next evolution in pitching and soft skill development…

The School of Business recently visited Auckland University to test out their cutting-edge virtual reality (VR) headsets, designed to help students develop their pitching and presentation skills. During the session, we were able to simulate safe environments where students could practice their product pitching against AI coaches and get in-time feedback.

The visit provided valuable insight into how emerging technology can enhance learning and prepare students for real-world business presentations by providing a safe area to get used to before jumping into the deep end of intimidating pitches. It was an engaging and innovative experience that showcased the potential of VR as a tool and not just for entertainment. The School of Business looks forward to exploring more opportunities to incorporate technology and business into one!

The University of Auckland made this process easy, fun and entertaining for all of us and it was a massive privilege to see the technology that they provide.

A big thank you to Dr Drew Franklin, Sean Kelly, the Associate Dean, External Engagement, and everyone at the University of Auckland who helped make this trip possible; we look forward to visiting again!
