Congratulations to our Y11 student, Angel Chen, who has been recognised at the 2026 Modern China Through My Eyes Chinese Short Video Competition, hosted by the Consulate-General of the People's Republic of China in Auckland.

Angel received the Best Performance Award for her entry, 中国话，今天怎么说？(How Do We Speak Chinese Today?). The competition attracted entries from schools across the region, showcasing the creativity, talent and Chinese language skills of young learners.

Angel was invited to attend the official awards ceremony on Wednesday 4 November at the Vero Building in Auckland CBD, where her achievement was celebrated alongside other award-winning students and schools. This is a fantastic achievement and a wonderful recognition of Angel's confidence, creativity and dedication to learning Chinese. We are incredibly proud of her success and look forward to seeing her continue to develop her Chinese language skills!

Congratulations Angel!
