Give A Little, Help A Lot

Give a little, Help a lot.

The Stars peer mentors have been planning and preparing a community project called “Give a little, Help a lot”. As we all know times have been rough for everyone, so they are wanting to help by collecting donations to give to organisations/community food pantries that help those in need. Each of our year 9 classes have selected an organisation to donate to. These include; Child cancer foundation, Waitākere hospital, Salvation army, Church Unlimited, and a couple of Pātaka Kai (community food pantries).

We would love to have your support in making this project successful. If we all bring one item each, then together we will be able to help a lot. If you are in a comfortable position to contribute more than one item, it would be greatly appreciated, however not expected.

Donation Collection Day

When:                Wednesday 17th August, Week 4
Time:                  Please bring all your items in the morning before first period.
Where:              The Chapel (Glass Atrium at the back of the admin block.)

What can you donate:

  • Non-perishable goods – canned food, rice, pasta, breakfast foods, school lunch items, baking products, sauces etc. *Items can be from your pantry but please check the expiry dates before donating.

Thank you for your support, we really appreciate it!
“Ahakoa he iti he pounamu” – Despite being small, it is of great value.
So, no matter how cheap or small your item is, if we all Give a little, then together we can help a lot.
