Basketball is the biggest growing sport here at Waitakere College. So much so that we have created our own Intra school basketball competition to cater for the growing number of students interested. 

This year the school had over 20 teams entered in either our Intra School basketball competition or in the Central/West Zone Inter school competitions throughout Auckland. This ensures there are basketball opportunities available for both the social baller as well as our elite basketball boys and girls. 

The school has a number of volunteer coaches who help out with our basketball programme as well as teaching staff who are very experienced basketball coaches in their own right. 

We also provide students the opportunity to develop as leaders and coaches by giving them the opportunity to coach and manage teams across all levels. 

Fee: $85
Required: Mouthguard, sneakers/shoes, junior students choose the singlet option when purchasing the school PE uniform.
