Waitakere College Football has been very consistent over a number of years. Each year we offer Football to both boys and girls across all levels, with the aim of the Football programme being to encourage and increase participation in Football, while developing the students already involved in football through expert coaching and training. 

We currently have 6 football teams to help cater for all junior and senior students who want to play football for the school and we are fortunate to have a number of teachers on staff who are experienced players and coaches.

These teams are made up of:

• 1st XI Boys Football - Senior A1 Auckland Competition
• 2nd XI Boys Football - Senior C Central West Competition
• Junior A Boys Football - 14A2 Competition
• Junior B Boys Football - 14B West competition
• 1st XI Girls Football - Central A2 Competition
• 2nd XI Girls Football - Waitakere Senior B Competition 

Our 1st XI Boys and Girls also attend a national tournament during winter tournament week in September. Games for the girls teams are Wednesday afternoons and boys play Saturday mornings, this allows students to play football for both school and club - something that we encourage.

Fees for school football are $50 -  (1st XI Boys Football $110 IF a jacket is required)
Required: Boots, shin pads and the school sports socks. Junior teams use the school PE gear as their team uniform.
